Zoe Perry is an American actress. She is most recently known for her role as young Mary Cooper in the television series Young Sheldon. Perry, an actress from a young age, has many television series appearances and a few feature film roles under her belt.
Some of those roles include roles on the ABC TV series The Family and political thriller series Scandal which also stars her father Jeff Perry who played the character, Cyrus. Among the films she has appeared in are No Pay, Nudity , and Cheating. She also shared the stage with her mother Laurie Metcalf in the Broadway play, The Other Place.

Zoe Perry was born on September 26, 1984 in Chicago, Illinois, to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry, both actors. Perry’s first television appearance was on the ABC series Roseanne, on which she played a young version of the character Jackie Harris. Jackie Harris’ older role on the show was portrayed by her mother, Laurie Metcalf.
Although Perry had a brief stint on TV on Little Girl, she didn’t make much of an effort to pursue a professional acting career until college, as she was too shy to act in high school.
After graduating from high school, Perry was admitted to Boston University and later transferred to Northwestern University. Even then, she maintains that she only started acting to meet interesting people and make new friends.
After graduating from Northwestern, Perry moved to New York in an effort to find acting roles. She played minor roles there in some series, most notably as Wendy in a 2006 episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
One of Perry’s most notable roles in television series is her role as Jane in The Family. She appeared in 9 episodes of the series in 2016. Prior to her role in The Family, Perry appeared in other TV series such as Conviction in 2006, My Boys between 2006 and 2010, Case Closed in 2007, Private Practice in 2008 , Ave 43 in 2009 and Grey’s Anatomy in 2012. In 2013, Perry starred in the Broadway show The Other Place with her mother.
Perry appeared in 9 episodes of the 6th season of Scandal in 2017 and is part of the main cast of Young Sheldon where she plays Mary Cooper, young Sheldon’s protective mother, a role that once again requires her to play a version younger from the role of his mother in the CBS television series The Bang Theory which spun Young Sheldon as a prequel.

She infiltrates the government by establishing a romantic relationship with Attorney General David Rosen. Perry’s father, Jeff Perry, played a prominent role in Scandal as Cyrus, the White House Chief of Staff and President Grant’s right-hand man.
