Why Did Travis Shoot Calvin On House Of Payne?
In episode 20 of House Of Payne season 8, Travis shot Calvin to get revenge.
In previous episode, Calvin had fought with Travis for flirting and sexually harassing his wife Miranda. Calvin was introduced as a main character in the seventh season as a supermarket manager. He then started working in the public relations department with C.J., Janine, and Roland in Season 8. In season 8 episode 20, God Bless the Paynes he got shot by Travis because he wants to take revenge on Calvin.
The family prepares for one final Sunday dinner at Curtis and Ella’s house after Christian’s christening. Later as the family was ready to prepare the meal, they find Calvin being shot and lying on C.J. and Janine’s floor. He had serious injuries and was quickly rushed to the hospital in Episode Do or Die.
The crime by Travis wasn’t revealed until Calvin awoke in the hospital.
Travis Harris Sentence and Trial
Since Travis Harris had shot Calvin, he went to jail and had a trial waiting for final sentence.
In episode 60 Trial and Tribulation of season 8, Calvin’s shooter Travis Harris’s trial finally arrives and Calvin faces him in court.
Payne eagerly waits for the verdict after Travis’s trial for the attempt to murder Calvin. They were worried about the content of Calvin’s victim impact statement and his state of mind because Calvin was struggling to face his shooter in court.
Since the attempt to murder was a meditated nature of the crime the maximum sentence would have been death. The judge set the time of Thursday for the sentence until the victim Calvin makes a statement prior to the judge.
