Michael Weatherly is an American director, producer and actor best known for his role as Anthony DiNozzo in NCIS for thirteen years. Besides being one of the main characters in NCIS, he was also the main character in Dark Angel and Taurus where he played Logan Cale.

The show itself, created by James Cameron and airing on the Fox network, should not only make Jessica Alba a star, she was also light years ahead of her time.

On Taurus, he plays the titular character of Dr. Jason Bull, an expert in “trial science” and a psychologist who uses his skills (and those of his team) to choose the right jurors for his clients, their lawyers and their cases.

Michael Weatherly Bio, Age

Michael Manning Weatherly Jr. was born on July 8, 1968 in New York. He grew up in Fairfield, Connecticut, where he lived with his parents, Michael Manning Weatherly Sr. and Patricia O’Hara.

He attended Fairfield Country Day School – a single-sex private day school in Connecticut. He also attended Brooks School in Massachusetts. For his graduate studies, he attended the universities of Boston, American University and Menlo College. After deciding that school was not for him, he decided to become an actor.

In addition to acting, his entertainment abilities are very diverse. He also plays many musical instruments, including guitar and piano.

Michael is of Irish descent and ethnicity.

Career

He started his career playing a small role on The Cosby Show as the roommate of one of the main characters, Theo Huxtable. He also later appeared in Seinfeld, City and Love.

He eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting full time. He soon landed a starring role on Soulmates opposite Jennifer Garner. The show unfortunately only lasted six episodes before being canceled. He then starred in the first season on the supernatural hit show Charmed as a conflicted warlock.

He also began appearing in films around this time, portraying roles in The Last Days of the Disco, Meet Wally Sparks, Shy, Cabin by the Lake, The Mystery of Natalie Wood and T Happy Rigger.

While Dark Angel, he was nominated for several awards, including two Saturn Awards and a Teen Choice Award, before appearing in two episodes of TIP as NCIS Senior Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo. He reprized the lead character role in the TIP spin-off series NCIS and as a guest star in the NCIS spin-off sequel – NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans. He is one of two actors who have appeared in all four series, the other being Pauley Perrette, who plays Abby Sciuto.

Michael later expressed his desire to direct, and he made his directorial debut in an episode of NCIS during the eighth season. He has since directed more episodes of the series.

In 2016, he announced he was leaving NCIS after 13 seasons. Shortly after, it was announced that he would play the main character of the CBS show Taurus who is loosely based on television personality Dr. Phil and his real-life consulting business.
