Devante Degrate, also known as DeVante Swing, is a renowned American musician with more than three decades of experience. He made his debut in 1991 by releasing a song named Jodeci: Forever My Lady and Jodeci: Stay.

He is also one of the members of Jodeci, where he served as a record producer, singer, and songwriter. If you are unaware of Jodeci, let us update you that it is an American R&B quartet.

Aforesaid, Degarte is one of the lead singers of Jodeci. There were four members in this music group until one member died. As a result, there are currently three members of this music group. 

Jodeci is an R&B group founded in the late 90s by Mr. Dalvin, Devante Degrate, Jojo, and K-Ci. Unfortunately, this popular music group lost one member on January 20, 2021. Yes, you heard it right, Jojo is no more with us.

Fun Fact: Jodeci is considered one of the most influential music groups in American hip-hop culture. Numerous fans across the world love them. Till now, they have done several live concerts. 

Degrate Has A Lovely Family 

H-Town rapper Devante Degrate, born on September 29, 1969, in Hampton, Virginia, USA, is the oldest child of his father, Donald DeGrate, and his mother, Mary DeGrate. Unfortunately, he has not revealed his parents' identity. As a result, there are significantly fewer talks about them. 

Besides that, he also has one younger brother named Dalvin DeGrate, who has already achieved fame and success in the hip-hop industry. He is better known by his stage name Mr.Dalvin. The fun fact is that Dalvin is also a member of Jodeci.
